I have replaced leather

I have stopped using leather riding equipment (except for my saddles).

About 3-4 years ago I started buying some gear in synthetic materials. This was largely due to being active in horse racing at the time, where leather equipment had long since been replaced almost entirely. I quickly realized the advantages of replacing leather with materials that have significantly lower maintenance and care needs and much better quality. After this realization, I quickly decided to replace all my leather equipment except for my saddles with synthetic. The reason was simple, I love things that work well and save time. For those of us who are active with horses know that it takes a lot of time. But for me it is important that that time should be with the horse. Not with chores that are not really a must, as in this case.

But it was not that easy. The range of riding equipment in synthetic materials is very limited and difficult to find. So I had to try my hand at it and test which gear works and maintains the quality that I require. Finally, the equipment was replaced and I was completely fascinated by how easy it has become to have clean, nice and durable equipment. Then the thought began, why doesn't everyone do this? I understand that a lot is in doing what you have always done and that the supply of this equipment is low. Even the appearance of leather is telling. But after experiencing avoiding all the maintenance and poor quality that bridle, reins, stirrups and martingales in leather are, I decided to hang in there and try to participate in the development of horse equipment in materials with low maintenance requirements. So a few months ago I started this blog and webshop. Where I will write and share about my horse life and sell products that I myself use and can recommend.

Today I am a dealer for Zilco. They have the products that I think have undoubtedly been the absolute best in my transition from leather. But I try and choose which ones I want to recommend and sell to you. Almost all the products that I sell today are actually made for racing or endurance. But they work for equestrian sports too.
