Zilco Martingale

Made from Zilco's renowned synthetic webbing, which retains its flexibility over a wide temperature range, has excellent abrasion, tear, and crack resistance, and a leather-like finish.

The running martingale, sometimes called a "ring martingale", is probably the most widely used design today. It runs from the girth at the horse's mid-chest up to the reins, which pass through the ring at the end of each strap. A neck strap prevents the martingale from swinging around.

When properly fitted, the martingale applies downward pressure if the horse raises its head above the control angle.
